Although the SFCF developed originally as a representative body for employers, the services it provides to members have grown far beyond just the representation of colleges in negotiations with trade unions.  This section of our website provides a snapshot of the main areas of activity that the Forum undertakes on behalf of its members and in representing the Sixth Form College sector as a whole.

Our founding service, trade union negotiation, is, of course, covered, and Stakeholder Engagement outlines the Forum’s many relationships across the wider education community.

As Sixth Form Colleges enjoy particularly close associations with local authorities, SFCF spends a significant amount of time working with their representative organisations.

To support members, the Forum carries out a considerable amount of research and complements this work with a suite of publications.
