Please find below the programme, booking form and location map for the SFCF Curriculum and Quality Conference to be held on 14th March 2012 at the Birmingham Hippodrome. It will offer an open forum for delegates to discuss important issues in relation to curriculum and, in particular, quality issues.
The Conference will be centred around 3 full conference sessions which will include keynote addresses, discussion groups and plenary sessions. These sessions are intended to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience with the goal that all those attending will be inspired and motivated to put new ideas into practice following the event!

Mike Davis, Principal Officer, Development, Further Education at Ofsted will provide a keynote address on Ofsted’s new inspection framework.
The final keynote address of the day titled ‘Watching the watchmen: An analysis of current inspection practice and the Sixth Form College sector’ will be provided by Nick Allen, Quality Manager at Peter Symonds’ College. Nick Allen will explore aspects of the research he has conducted looking at the impact of current inspection practice on the

* How the game has changed
* Success rates, prior attainment and sector specific benchmarks
* The use and misuse of the Socio-economic performance indicator (SEPI)
* Responding to the changing inspection context
