International Committee

The International Committee considers, not only the issues surrounding the recruitment of international students by Sixth Form Colleges, but also embedding global issues into the Curriculum for all Sixth Form College students.

The Committee has recently endorsed an International Strategy and Action Plan which details the Committee's internationalisation and global skills policy position and objectives.

Its work includes:

  1.  The production of 'A Global View' newsletter, which aims to promote interest and dialogue in international activities among Sixth Form Colleges
  2. The development of briefings and fact-sheets to support colleges with issues relating to international students
  3. Building strategic links with external organisations and engaging in policy dialogue.
  4. Assisting with the development of national events for students from SFCs, including the first Sixth Form College Model United Nations in March 2011 and the Student Award for International Understanding.
